Hi, my name is Marwan Rihaoui, welcome to my web site and thanks for visiting.

A little introduction about me, I am Lebanese from a small town called Kab Elias in the Bekaa valley. Currently I am a Ph.D graduate physics student at Northern Illinois Univesity ( www.niu.edu ) physics department. I am working with the Accelerator Physics group (NICADD) at NIU with Dr. Philippie Piot (www.nicadd.niu.edu/~piot). My current Research Interersts are Beam Dynamics and simulations in the photoinjector at the AWA (Advanced Wakefield Accelerator) facility at ANL ( Argonne National Lab (www.anl.gov ) with Dr. John Power. I do beam modeling and simulations for the AWA faciltity at ANL using ImpactT. Current Research interest is trying to do the transverse to longitudinal emittance at the AWA facility.

Some of my work:

During Summer of 2003, I did some work at Los Alamos National Lab as part of my REU (www.lanl.gov) with Dr. Carl Kumaradas on Magnetocarcinotherapy (MCT), check paper : Report_2003.pdf

I also wrote something on the side for the Maxwell Coils Vs Helmholtz Coils for the applications in MRI gradient , good treatment for the solenoid field. symmetry.pdf

During the summer of 2005 I did some work on the Fokker Planck Equation (non equilibirium statistical dynamnics): Report_05.pdf
